Het hoge gehalte aan chamotte zorgt voor een mooi gestructureerd oppervlak en een uitstekend gedrag tijdens het drogen en bakken. 

De bijzondere ivoorkleur na het bakken is een uitstekende ondergrond voor glazuren en kleuroxiden.

Het is ook bekend als "Rafael"-klei en het is erg populair vanwege zijn uitstekende resultaten met Raku.

White sculpture/raku clay with 40% fine grog 0-0.5 mm (up to 35 Mesh). Formulated for artistic ceramics, it is ideal for sculpture, murals and Raku pieces. The high content of grog confers a beautiful textured surface and an excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Its particular ivory colour after firing is much appreciated and provides an excellent ware for glazes and colouring oxides, which develop bright and intense tones. It is also known as “Rafael” clay, and it is very popular because of its excellent behaviour for Raku. Available in extruded body (moist form).
